HMS Hood
Probably the most famous battlecruiser in history, Hood was destroyed by a catastrophic magazine explosion during the Battle of the Denmark Straight. A beautiful ship with sweeping lines, she was to be part of a class of 4 ships, but as flaws in the design of British battlescruisers became apparent, work on the 3 sisterships was halted. Hood's design was partially reworked to try and remedy these flaws.
